“Change Is Here” Community Clean-Up Day Set for May 2

LEBANON (March 27, 2009) – If great weather has you suffering from a severe case of Spring Fever, then channel all that energy into a community clean-up day that’s been set for May 2 from 8 a.m. to noon in Lebanon.

Local residents are encouraged to sign up to participate – either as individuals or in groups or teams – to help spruce up Lebanon’s streets and sidewalks so that community pride can shine brighter than ever before, event organizers say.

“Change Is Here” is the event theme, which is designed to encourage people of all ages to embrace the opportunity to make a difference in the look and feel of the community.

Event organizers hope to prompt 150 or more residents to participate by appealing to their sense of duty and community. Sponsors are the Greater Lebanon Community Vision Committee, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Witham Health Services. - More -
